YUDU Sentinel Launches Secure Video Conferencing to Strengthen Crisis and Incident Communications

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Clitheroe, UK - Thursday March 5, 2026 – YUDU Sentinel today announces the launch of its new Secure Video Conferencing module, expanding its secure communications capabilities and further strengthening its position as a trusted platform for operational resilience and crisis management.

The new functionality provides organisations with a secure, controlled space for real-time collaboration during incidents, cyber events, and sensitive operational discussions. Designed as an out-of-band communication tool, Secure Video Conferencing ensures that critical conversations can continue even when primary communication platforms are unavailable, compromised, or under investigation.

Purpose-Built for Crisis - Not Business-as-Usual

Unlike mainstream video conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom, and Google Meet, YUDU Sentinel’s Secure Video Conferencing is not designed to replace everyday collaboration tools. Instead, it provides a resilient alternative when organisations need separation from business-as-usual systems - particularly during:

  • Cyber incidents or suspected breaches
  • Major IT outages
  • Regulatory investigations
  • Critical operational disruptions
  • High-sensitivity executive discussions

That said, the module can also be used for routine secure meetings where enhanced control, auditability, and encryption are required.

Built for Control, Compliance, and Scale

The Secure Video Conferencing module enables organisations to:

  • Launch or schedule video conferences instantly - start ad-hoc calls or plan meetings for a future date and time directly within the Sentinel platform.
  • Collaborate at scale - host video conferences with up to 200 participants, including internal teams and external experts.
  • Maintain strict access control - lock meetings and require participants to “knock” for entry, ensuring only authorised individuals can join.
  • Remove technical barriers - participants can join securely via a simple web browser link, with no software installation required.
  • Support compliance and audit requirements - centralised recording of video conferences, automatically encrypted, ensures a secure and auditable record of discussions and decisions.

Complementing – Not Replacing – Video Crisis Rooms

This launch is separate from YUDU Sentinel’s Video Crisis Rooms, introduced in February 2025, which provide dedicated, persistent virtual environments for managing major incidents and crisis response workflows.

Secure Video Conferencing serves a different purpose: providing flexible, on-demand, secure video meetings within the YUDU Sentinel ecosystem. Together, these capabilities give organisations layered, resilient communication options depending on the severity and complexity of an incident.

Retiring Legacy Teleconferencing

With the introduction of Secure Video Conferencing, YUDU Sentinel will retire its previous teleconferencing functionality, which provided secure audio-only conference calls accessible via telephone number or web link. The new module delivers significantly enhanced functionality, improved control, and integrated compliance features - aligning with evolving regulatory and operational resilience requirements.

Strengthening Operational Resilience

As regulatory scrutiny around operational resilience and communication governance continues to increase, organisations must ensure they have secure, segregated communication channels available during crises.

Secure Video Conferencing reinforces Sentinel’s commitment to delivering resilient, compliant, and secure collaboration tools that organisations can depend on when it matters most.
